NPCF Welcomes New Board Members at AGM

The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Foundation (NPCF) is pleased to announce the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors following its Annual General Meeting held May 28, 2026. Joining the Board are Frank Adamson, Jim Baird, Karine Ohanian, and Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) board appointee Michelle Seaborn.

“These individuals bring a wealth of experience, community leadership, and a shared commitment to conservation across the Niagara Peninsula watershed,” said Brett Harrington, NPCF Board Chair. “Their diverse backgrounds and passion for environmental stewardship will help strengthen the Foundation’s mission of Nature for All, for Always.”

Frank Adamson joins the Board as a long-time environmental advocate and community leader. A former Rotary District Governor, Adamson initiated the Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup in 2020, engaging thousands of Rotarians and community members in environmental action across the region. He currently serves in several leadership roles throughout Niagara and has been recognized with numerous honours for his community service.

Jim Baird brings extensive experience in strategic leadership, financial stewardship, and governance. A CFA Charterholder and Senior Director at Salesforce, Baird has served on several nonprofit boards, including the Niagara Health Foundation.

Karine Ohanian is a Niagara-based public health professional and passionate advocate for outdoor recreation and environmental sustainability. With a lifelong connection to Niagara’s natural spaces, Ohanian’s work focuses on creating healthier, more connected communities through active transportation, green space access, and inclusive planning initiatives.

Michelle Seaborn, Regional Councillor for Grimsby, brings extensive municipal governance and agricultural experience to the Board. Seaborn has long championed environmental protection and source water initiatives through the Niagara Peninsula watershed and currently serves as an NPCA Board Member.

These new members join an existing group of dedicated directors who oversee the strategic plan, finances, and policies and procedures of the Foundation, and ensure that the resources entrusted to the Foundation further the goals of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.  Learn more about the Board of Directors, and the Foundation, at npcf.ca.
