The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Foundation (NPCF) is inviting passionate community members with a love for conservation and nature to apply for volunteer positions on its Board of Directors for terms beginning in 2026.
Founded in 1969, NPCF is a registered environmental charity dedicated to connecting people and organizations to a healthier Niagara Peninsula watershed. The Foundation raises funds in support of the environmental and educational initiatives of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA).
The NPCF Board of Directors serves as the organization’s governing body, providing strategic leadership, governance, and financial oversight.
Board members contribute their time, expertise, and networks to advance NPCF’s mission by leading fundraising efforts, donor programs, and special events; providing governance and stewardship to ensure the organization’s continued success; and promoting its initiatives throughout the Niagara Peninsula. They engage with key partners, uphold NPCF’s bylaws, policies, and values, approve and oversee the annual budget, and ensure resources are used effectively to support NPCA’s strategic environmental goals.
Board members generously volunteer their time. Quarterly meetings are held in Thorold, and members also participate in committees, events, and community engagement activities to foster donor relationships and awareness of NPCF’s work.
If you are passionate about protecting natural heritage and want to make a lasting impact, we encourage you to apply and help strengthen conservation efforts across the Niagara Peninsula watershed.
NPCF welcomes applications from individuals with skills, experience, or interest in:
Fundraising and donor relations
Conservation and nature-based initiatives
Not-for-profit governance or legal expertise
Strategic planning and financial management
Community connections across the Niagara Peninsula watershed
Communications and advocacy
Application Deadline: November 28, 2025
